  • Amada

At Amada Senior Care Lehigh Valley, we maintain a holistic approach to senior care because we believe this is the only way we can fully meet our clients’ needs. We will never limit our service to you or your family according to what works for other families or what we are accustomed to providing, because we are committed to satisfying each family’s unique needs and preferences.

    About us

##Our Story\nEd Duborg and Tod Meixell, owners of Amada Senior Care Lehigh Valley, understand that to provide the best quality of senior care it is necessary to support an entire family, not just a single client. They have seen first-hand the emotional and physical strain that often comes with taking care of an ill or elderly loved one, and realize that the pace many families keep while trying to care for a senior is simply not sustainable. As Ed recalls, “I remember my mother, who was already taking care of five kids, trying to care for my grandmother, who was suffering from diabetes and rapidly declining health. It was a lot for her to take—so much so that it became a burden she could no longer bear all by herself. She needed help. We ended up moving my grandmother into an assisted living community when my mother was unable to handle her care.” Now, Ed and Tod strive to alleviate the burdens Ed’s mother felt for their neighbors throughout the Lehigh Valley area. Ed says, “At Amada, we see people like my mother every day. People who are working, people who have kids; and they barely have enough time to go see their parents, never mind provide them with the care they need. At Amada, we provide the non-medical, in-home care seniors like my grandmother need to be able to continue living at home. \n\n##Our Skills\nWe help with bathing, meal preparation, shopping, medication reminders, and more—all the little things that add up to the ability to enjoy a good quality of life.” As we know through personal experience, knowing that a beloved senior is well-cared for not only affords their loved ones peace of mind; it also allows them to continue filling the family roles they have always held. This is why each of our home-care aides at Amada Lehigh Valley is dedicated to caring for each client as though they were a member of their own family. In addition to in-home care, the team at Amada Lehigh Valley can assist families with all of their senior care needs. Whether we are guiding a senior through the search for the ideal assisted living environment, helping families find the best way to pay for care, or simply listening as our clients vent their frustrations, our clients always know they can count on their Amada family.

In a word - Wow! I didn’t expect that type of care! In a world, where all you hear about is poor service and no commitment. Ed Duborg and his team at Amada Senior Care took care of my mom like she was their own mother! From the start of the relationship, we had a great experience with Ed and Amada Senior Care. They were very professional and yet very personal.

Amada is amazing!!!! My father recently had a stroke. He was hospitalized and in a rehab facility for over a month. Ed and Tod came to my parents home, explained in detail about their services, equipment we would need along with many helpful suggestions. My father made a miraculous recovery because of the care he received from the wonderful people from Amada. They are professional, caring, flexible and easy to work with. They put the "care" in home care, I highly recommend them.

My father age 90, had a rather sudden decline in health and required 24/7 assistance in his home. On very short notice, Ed Duborg was able to organize a coverage schedule to meet our needs. His staff was awesome, the people he provided to my father were kind, helpful, and professional.Ed was extremely attentive to our needs - his diligence and follow up were really impressive. His sincere concern for my father and our whole family was a welcome reminder that there great people in our community.

    BeClose Homecare Technology

When seniors are determined to remain living independently in their homes but their loved ones have concerns about their health and safety, it can feel impossible to find a solution that satisfies everyone. Fortunately, Amada clients have access to a revolutionary senior care option that does just that: remote care through our BeClose system. BeClose is a fully customized home monitoring system that allows seniors to stay at home for longer because their loved ones are constantly assured of their safety and well-being. Families choose the products that will meet their needs, such as automated door locks and thermostats, indoor/outdoor security cameras, medication monitors, and button-free alarms to alert help in case of a fall or emergency. We install these devices discretely in a senior’s home, then sync the entire system to our secure mobile app. This provides families with real-time updates about a senior’s activities, allowing them to keep a “virtual eye” on their loved one from anywhere in the world. BeClose will also notify families if changes in a senior’s behavior are detected so that they can re-evaluate their care plans as needed.

If you or your loved one is a veteran, are you confident that you have taken advantage of every government program in place to help you pay for care? “Having to remove your loved one from their home is never an easy decision. My mother actually made the decision to move from a larger, institutional-like local facility to At Home because when we visited, she loved the small, home-life feeling she experienced during our visit. The staff treats all residents like they are truly “family.” The staff takes the time to listen to family member’s concerns and will collaboratively work to provide the best care for your loved one.

My father was a great man. He was kind and sweet. He was hospitalized due to the flu and the doctor refused to discharge him unless he would be living with someone instead of by himself. He moved into our house. My husband and I took care of him. There were times he refused to accept our help & he also became weaker. Therefore, we hired Caring Grace. Marvoi was the assigned caregiver. She was wonderful to my father Charles. She was able to do things for him that he wouldn’t allow others to do. T

I loved having the time to spend with my grandfather. I was able to get closer to him. During the last couple weeks of his life, I slept in his room with him. Those days were priceless! It was nice having him around. I was able to talk to him and help him. My grandfather and I wouldn’t have had that experience if he was not at home with us. I’m grateful that Caring Grace was such a help.

I don't know where to start! Had a buddy detoxing in a hospital in rural PA and didn't want him left alone until I could get there from business trips to sit with him. Was referred to BrightStar and can't believe the service and love they showed my buddy. Called at 3:30pm and said I need someone to sit in a hospital room with him the next two days. Within 3 hours they had a nurse there (Christine) doing an eval and at 8am in the morning had a companion (Rosemarie) in the room.

I had to choose again, BrightStar Care would still be my choice. The administrative staff is friendly and competent and all the caregivers have been wonderful. There is one, in particular, Jenny Sanabria, who is outstanding. Two others who are doing a wonderful job are Kathleen and Monime.

    Home Care Assistance

We help seniors live happier, healthier lives at home. We are the only home care solution offering a balanced approach to longevity - emphasizing health, engagement, and purpose in our clients.

    About us

\nA trusted provider of in-home care through¬out the Lehigh Valley. Founder Dian Brannen treats each client like family.\n\n"A little more than twelve years ago my husband and I had our first exposure to the challenges that a family faces when a loved one begins to struggle\nwith the demands of living alone. Regrettably, we did not consider inhome care. That experience led us on a journey that culminated in the opening of Home Care Assistance of the Lehigh Valley. My husband’s grandmother was a very active and independent woman who genuinely loved life. Her husband had passed away shortly\nafter their 50th wedding anniversary and while she remained very active, she did begin to slow down as a result of arthritis and emphysema. \n\nAs she approached her 80th birthday she decided to sell her home and move in with a relative who lived just a few blocks from her. Her relative was younger, lived alone, and was more than\nhappy to share his home with her. We thought this was a wonderful idea as she had no immediate family in the area and it would allow her to remain close to her\nfriends, doctors, social clubs, etc. While this arrangement worked out well at first, it soon became clear that she needed more care and attention than her relative was\nable to provide. And now that she had sold her house, moving back home was not an option. What ensued was an almost year-long struggle that saw her shuttling back\nand forth between her children’s homes (in different states) and eventually into a nursing home where after a brief stay she passed away at the age of eighty."\n\nWhy Choose Home Care Assistance? \n\nDaily Care Experts – We specialize in round the clock care to help seniors live well at home. \n\nHigh Caliber Caregivers – We typically hire only 1 in 25 applicants and provide ongoing training and supervision. \n\nNo LongTerm Contracts – Use our services as long as you are 100% satisfied. \n\nAvailable 24/7 – Care managers are on call for clients and their families, even during nights and weekends. \n\nBalanced Care – Our unique approach to care promotes healthy mind, body and spirit. \n\nPeace of Mind – Independent industry surveys place our client satisfaction rate at 97%.\n\n\n
