Privacy Policy

Carenade Inc. ("Carenade") respects the privacy of its users and users’ information, and takes precautions to prevent unauthorized access or misuse of user data. Carenade has also adopted this Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") to describe the personal information that Carenade collects through its website(s), application(s), technologies, and services (collectively the “Carenade Services”), and how Carenade collects and uses User information, if the user volunteers to provide such information or elects to use the Carenade Services.

  • 1. Personal Information.

    Carenade may ask users to share with it individually identifiable information ("Personal Information") about themselves, or the people for whom they have the legal authority or agency to act, as a condition of accessing and utilizing certain Carenade Services. Personal Information includes any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact or locate the user, or the person for whom they are acting. Examples include name, address, e-mail address, phone number, age, household information, educational background and credit card information.

    Carenade uses Personal Information to provide users with the services they have requested from Carenade. In addition, we use Personal Information to send users periodic communications about products and services offered by Carenade or third parties, to operate and improve Carenade Services. Carenade uses Personal Information also for its own internal business purposes including statistical, design or operational purposes, such as to estimate Carenade’s audience size, measure aggregate traffic patterns and understand demographic trends among our users.

    By providing such Personal Information and by accessing and utilizing the Carenade Services, the user consents to Carenade’s collection, use and disclosure as set forth in this Privacy Policy. Below are some examples of Carenade’s collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information.

    • A.User Account. To register for Carenade Services, Carenade will ask certain information about the user, including name, address, e-mail, date of birth, and phone number. If the user is registering as a Care Seeker for another individual, for whom the Care Seeker has legal authority or agency to do so, Carenade will also ask for the information about the person in need of care and the type of care needed. If the user is registering as a Provider, Carenade will ask for information regarding the Provider’s qualification, services offered, and other pertinent information. Carenade may use a user’s e-mail address, phone number, or other contact information provided to send communications, such as e-mails, text messages, or phone calls, relating to account confirmations, notifications, reminders, requests for reviews, to contact the user on behalf of other users sending messages, and to otherwise provide services to the user connected to the Carenade Services. Carenade may also send promotional communications such as e-mails, monthly newsletters, Promotions, and third-party offers that may enhance the Carenade Services or experience. Carenade also collects and uses Personal Information for business administration, including account and billing issues, troubleshooting, investigating abuse of the Carenade Services, responding to user inquiries, and enforcing and applying the Carenade Terms of Service.

    • B.User Profile. After creating a User Account, the user will be required to create a User Profile including information about the user that will be useful and relevant to the Care Seeker and Provider interactions.

      Care Seeker-users may include information in the User Profile about the person in need of Provider care services. The profile will become visible to a Provider if user uses the Carenade Services to contact the Provider.

      Provider-users may include information about their rate of pay, website, background, availability, education, qualifications, certifications, languages spoken and experience, and any geographic or other limitations or preferences. Registered visitors to the Site can view the Provider's Profile.

    • C.User Communications. Users may be able to communicate with one another by or through the Carenade Services, and in doing so, are responsible for the information they choose to share. Users may wish to limit the types of personal information that they include in these communications, which may become viewable by others. For instance, users might communicate between themselves using the Carenade Services. While other users would not have access to those communications, because they are made through the Carenade Services, users should not have an expectation of privacy in such communications and messages, which are maintained and may be seen by Carenade. Also, users may be able to post information on public forums/threads and post reviews of Providers visible to other registered users. Carenade makes them visible to other users and may use any such postings for promotional purposes. Such information becomes public when posted, and may continue to be able to be viewed by registered users even if the posting user deletes his/her account or ceases use of the Carenade Services. Because of the public nature of the posts, such material may appear on other websites or web searches that can be publicly viewed.

    • D.Inviting Others. A Care Seeker-user may be able to invite others, such as family members, to create a User Account and link it to the profile for a loved one so that multiple family members can help coordinate, keep up to date on the status, schedule care, research Providers, and arrange payment to Providers.

    • E.Payment Method. Carenade will require a user’s credit card or other payment and billing information to process Provider services booked through the Carenade Services. Credit card transactions are processed through Secure Socket Layer by a third-party, which only uses the information for that purpose.

    • F.Contacts. If a user contacts Carenade, for instance to provide feedback, questions, comments or complaints, Carenade may store those communications, including any Personal Information that the user may choose to provide therein. Carenade uses that information to respond and improve its Carenade Services.

    • G.Providers. Carendale may disclose, sell or share Personal Information to one or more participating Providers in order to provide the user with the services requested. The Provider may contact the user directly. Carendale cannot guaranty, warrant, or otherwise control how these Providers use or disclose your Personal Information.

    • H.Internal Analysis and Operations. Carendale may disclose Personal Information for its own internal statistical, design or operational purposes, such as to estimate its audience size, measure aggregate traffic patterns, and understand demographic trends among our users. Carendale may outsource such tasks and disclose Personal Information about users to third parties, provided the use and disclosure of your Personal Information by these third parties is restricted to performance of such tasks and subject to confidentiality.

    • I.Business Matters. We may disclose Personal Information to our affiliates, parents, or subsidiaries, or likewise as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of Carendale assets or other business transaction.

  • 2. Non-Personal Information.

    As part of accessing and utilizing the Carenade Services, Carenade may request or acquire other information about users that does not specifically identify the user (“Non-Personal Information”). Non-Personal Information is information that does not identify a specific user and includes, for instance, the URL of the website user visited before and after visiting Carenade’s website, the type of browser user is using, and the IP address of the computer user is using to access the Carenade Services. Carendale may use or disclose Non-Personal Information to improve the performance, functionality and content of the Carendale Services.

    • A.Cookies. Carenade collects anonymous information about how users use Carenade Services, e.g. by setting and accessing cookies on user’s computer. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on the computer to track information such as how often user visits, what pages user views, and what sites user visits after leaving Carenade’s website. The cookies track user’s computer, not the user. They are not connected to any personal information about user. If the user disables a cookie, user may not be able to use certain features of the Carenade Services.

    • B.Use Information. Carenade automatically stores information related to user’s use of Carenade Services, e.g. in log files, such as the pages user views Carenade’s website, browser type, IP address, operating system, referring URL and the date and time of visit. Carenade uses this information to administer is Carenade Services and to analyze trends. This information is not tied to personally identifiable information about individual users.

    • C.Web Beacons. Carenade or its advertising affiliates may use other industry standard technologies like web beacons or tracking pixels to count the number of users that visit a page on Carenade’s website. Web beacons are used to report on site traffic and are used to analyze the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and how users interact with a website. The web beacons do not identify individual users and analysis of data obtained is performed on an aggregate basis. Carenade may also rely upon third parties to assist with the use and implementation of web beacons. Carenade may also use third-party advertising companies to serve or track ads. These companies may use non-personally identifiable information about user’s visits and other websites in order to measure advertising effectiveness and to provide advertisements about goods or services that may be of interest to user.

    • D.Do Not Track. No action is taken in response to web browser "do not track" signals or other mechanisms that provide Users the ability to exercise choice regarding the collection of personally identifiable information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across third-party web sites or online services. Although Carenade may use Google Analytics and other third party tracking tools, Carenade is not aware if third parties collect personally identifiable information about an individual consumer’s online activities when a User uses the Carenade Services.

  • 3. Disclosure to Third Parties.

    • A. Carenade may disclose Personal or Non-Personal Information: (1) if required by law; (2) at the request of a third-party if, in Carenade’s sole discretion, it is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, law enforcement, or any legal process, or otherwise protects or defend Carenade's, or a third party's, rights or property, or protects someone's health or safety; (3) to companies that perform services for Carenade, such as analyzing customer data, providing marketing assistance, and processing credit card payments; (4) to any subsidiary, affiliate, or Care Seeker company, joint venture, or other company under a common control or ownership as Carenade, or that comes to acquire all or substantially all of the assets of Carenade, now or in the future; (5) about users who were referred to Carenade through a promotional partner using a designated promotional code; and (6) that is posted or transmitted by the user via the Carenade Services or otherwise contained in User Profiles or User Communications. Third parties may provide some of the advertisements on the Carenade Services. Carenade does not share any Personal Information with those advertisers, but they may have access to information they obtain through cookies, beacons or other tracking devices or that user shares with them. Carenade does not rent, share, sell or trade Personal Information with third-parties for their direct marketing purposes.

    • B. Carenade may share Non-Personal information such as aggregate data about users with third-parties, including advertisers and marketing partners, when such information does not identify individual users. However, Carendale has no ability to control the privacy and data collection, use, and disclosure practices of such third-parties or their separate privacy policies. Users should review and understand the privacy policies of such third-parties before providing them with any information.

  • 4. Updating or Correcting Information.

    If a user wishes to change Personal Information previously provided to Carenade (e.g. update contact information), the user may update or correct the Personal Information by logging into the User Account. For instance, if a user stored payment method information, such as a credit card, with Carenade, that information may be updated or deleted by user at any time.

  • 5. Optional Communications.

    Carenade may provide users the ability to opt-in or opt-out of promotional communications (e.g., e-mails containing monthly newsletters, new service offerings, Promotions, and third-party offers). If a user wishes to discontinue receiving such communication, the user can opt out, for instance by using the link on the bottom of such e-mail providing the ability unsubscribe. However, a user cannot unsubscribe or opt-out of receiving administrative, Subscription, account activity, billing, or other non-optional e-mails or communications.

  • 6. Security of Information.

    Carenade considers it important to protect your Personal Information and takes reasonable security precautions accordingly to protect user Personal Information. Nonetheless, no method of data transmission or security over the Internet or data storage is guaranteed to be secure all of the time. Therefore, Carenade cannot warrant or guarantee the absolute security of any information transmitted to or from Carenade.

  • 7. Age Restrictions.

    Carenade Services are only intended for individuals of at least eighteen (18) years of age. Individuals under the age of eighteen (18) may not utilize Carenade Services. Further, Carenade does not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals age thirteen (13) or younger, and does not intend its Carenade Services to attract or solicit anyone under the age of thirteen (13). If a user becomes aware that his/her minor child has provided Carenade with Personal Information, the user should immediately contact Carenade. If Carenade becomes aware that any individual under age thirteen (13) regardless of Care Seeker permission, or an individual age fourteen (14) to seventeen (17) without Care Seeker permission, has opened a User Account or provided Personal Information, Carenade take steps to remove such information and terminate that User Account.

  • 8. Changes to Our Privacy Policy.

    Carenade reserves the right to update or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the Privacy Policy will govern our use of user information. If Carenade makes a change to the Privacy Policy that is material, Carenade will notify users either by posting a notice of such changes, for example on its website and/or via e-mail, text message, or other such communication through any medium associated with the user account. By continuing to access and utilize the Carenade Services after those changes become effective, user agrees to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.

  • 9. General Usage of User Information.

    In general, Carenade may use Personal Information or Non-Personal Information to: (1) deliver Carenade Services and manage its business, (2) manage user accounts and provide customer support, (3) perform research and analysis about user use of, or interest in, Carenade Services, (4) communicate with users e-mail, postal mail, telephone and/or mobile devices about products or services that may be of interest to the user, (5) develop and display content and advertising tailored to user interests on Carenade’s website or application, (6) perform ad tracking and website or mobile application analytics, and (7) perform functions as otherwise described to user at the time of collection.

  • 11. No Rights of Third Parties.

    This Privacy Policy does not create rights enforceable by third parties, nor does it mandate disclosure of any information relating to users of the Carenade Services.

  • 12. Recorded Telephone Communications.

    Telephone communications to Carenade may be recorded or monitored for quality control purposes. By using Carenade Services and/or by providing information to us, you expressly consent to the recording of those calls.
